Documentary focusing on the Philippines' unique mode of transport. After WWII, surplus American jeeps were converted into public utility vehicles to meet the demand for more commuter transport in the Philippines. The last 50 years have seen them grow from plain six-passenger cars to lavishly decorated, technicoloured minibuses for up to 18 passengers or sometimes even more. This programme follows the stories of various Jeepney owners and shows how the vehicle features in their everyday lives.
