- Jenny Farrel (Katherine Heigl) is getting married but how will her straight-laced and conventional family react when they find out that she is engaged to who they think is her roommate (Alexis Bledel)? The small, safe world her family has always inhabited is turned upside down as they attempt to come to terms with the prospect of a surprise daughter- in-law.
