Synopsis:
Sunday August 30th, 1970 600,000 people, the largest audience in the history of pop music, were about to experience one of Jethro Tull's most impressive performances at the Isle of Wight Festival. "Nothing Is Easy" is directed by award winning filmmaker Murray Lerner, who also directed and partly shot the original footage of the festival. It contains film of the band's outstanding live performance combined with a brand new interview with Ian Anderson, describing the dramatic, almost violent, festival moods, both backstage and in the audience. As he said "it was a watershed time" between peace and love on one hand, and hoolaginism on the other.
This is supplemented by early career archive footage including Jethro Tull's performance of "A Song for Jeffrey" on the "The Rolling Stones' Rock and Roll Circus", which features Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath) during his very short stint as the band's guitarist.
