Founded in 1967, the Montreux Jazz Festival has established itself as one of the most prestigious annual music events in the world. The extraordinary list of artists who have played there is drawn from across the musical spectrum and from around the world. Now, with the consent of the festival and the artists, Eagle Vision is making these concerts available on DVD for the first time. Joe Cocker's impassioned delivery and instantly recognisable voice are immediately in evidence on this Montreux concert from 1987, the first of several appearances he has made at the festival. The show covers his whole career from his breakthrough hit With A Little Help From My Friends and classics such as Up Where We Belong and You Are So Beautiful through to tracks from his 1986 album Cocker including You Can Leave Your Hat On, Inner City Blues and Shelter Me.
