Singer and guitar virtuoso John Hammond is one of the most distinguished ambassadors of the blues: the foundation of rock, folk and pop music. For John Jr, it all started at the age of seven during a concert by Big Bill Broonzy, which he attended with his father. In the meanwhile, John has developed into a living anthology dedicated to the art and memory of Skip James, Howlin' Wolf and other musical giants. When he was twenty years old, John florished in the village with Richie Havens and John Sebastian. A year later, he introduced Dylan to his future backing musicians, soon to be known as The Band. His family fans never miss an opportunity to experience John's grand epic repertoire. This hot night in 2004 at the New Morning was just such an occasion.
