Synopsis:
Justus Frantz has been internationally successful as a pianist and conductor for more than 20 years. Realizing a dream of Leonard Bernstein's, Maestro Frantz organized the Philharmonia of the Nations, a youthful orchestra composed of musicians from all over the world. The orchestra demonstrates the ability of different peoples to work together in peace and harmony. Musical excellence unites these gifted artists from over 40 countries and five continents, while creatively and enthusiasm infuse their work. The orchestra has no base-its home is music. The musicians meet for about 10 concert series every year. They tour Germany and the whole world.
Frantz was founder and director of the Schlewig-Holstein Music Festival for nine years. He has long been interested in expanding the audience for classical music and has worked hard to support talented young musicians. Frantz is chief conductor of the Philharmonia of the Nations. He also works with other famous orchestras such as the Mariinsky Ensemble St. Petersburg, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra London and the Sinfonia Varsovia.
