Leah Gordon and Eddie Hutton-Mills direct this documentary exploring Haiti's history through its annual carnival celebrations in the city of Jacmel. Using oral and visual storytelling, the carnival gives a voice to the people of the city and is used to honour their spirits and celebrate their history of rebellion and resistance against colonialism and slavery. Interviews with performers telling their stories and those of their characters are included.
