- "Kanyadaan" is the story of a conflict between reality and rituals, a clash between custom and conviction, a tussle between truth and tradition. Kanyadaan, as a rule is the most pleasant, the most sacred occasion in every Indian family. It tells of the emotional occurance where all the family members affectionately bid goodbye to the daughter of the house and wish her well on her new journey. As with the family blessing their dear and near one on her departure to her new abode.
