This 45 minute video featuring one of the UK's leading folk musicians Kate Rusby is part of a documentary series that explores the musical influences of four of the most successful artists in contemporary English folk music. The folk singer and songwriter Kate Rusby is sometimes known as The Barnsley Nightingale. She has headlined at most of the UK's folk festivals and is regarded as one of the most important English folk singers of contemporary times. She's been described as "a superstar of the British acoustic scene" and "The first lady of young folkies" and is one of the few folk singers to have been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. The video includes footage of live performances and recording sessions as well as comments from musician Graham Coxon, broadcaster Mark Radcliffe and comedienne Jennifer Saunders.
