- It's not easy spending your life monitoring standards - standards that are declining everywhere you look - there are so many people who just don't do as they should. Or as Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet, naturally) thinks they should. As house-proud arch-snobs go, she must be the worst ever. And if someone knows that better that anyone, it's her long-suffering and hen-pecked husband Richard. So, come in and join them in the drawing room for a nice cup of Darjeeling - the bone china's ready and waiting.
