- With his eyes focused only on his own success, Ranshod Rai Patel moves from India to New York, where he builds himself up from nothing to become a wealthy magnate. When his daughter falls in love with Sunder, a man of lesser means, Patel must weigh what his daughter wants against what he feels is best for her. This was the first 35mm Hindi film to be shot entirely in the United States.
