- Synopsis:
- Biographical drama about the rise of King Abdulaziz (Fabio Testi/Marco Foschi) and Saudi Arabia. In 1902 exiled prince Abdulaziz takes back his ancestral home city Riyadh and begins to expand his empire,destroying his rivals,the Al Rasheed dynasty. He establishes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and becomes the state's first monarch in 1932. The film also explores Saudi Arabia's relationship with Western countries,especially after the discovery of oil in 1938.
