A man who works for the tax authorities ends up becoming friends with a dangerous criminal after their daughters become best friends and he accidentally saves his life...Marius (Jacob Derwig) finds out that he has a massive tax debt on top of his other money worries. Hugo (Barry Atsma) tries to stop Suus (Yenthe Bos) spending time with Chrissie (Zoe Cusell) after he saves Marius's life during a shooting...Hugo is desperate to bring his dangerous venture with Marius to an end after the money is found, but the situation comes to a dramatic head at Suus's ninth birthday party...Hugo finds his lies are catching up with him as both his daughter and Sophie (Ellen Parren) corner him for answers.
Marius once again needs Hugo's help...The Milner and Warmond families end up in a safe house together, but Samuels doesn't give up and tries to find them...
