Kolonya Cumhuriyeti (2017)

Turkish comedy directed by Murat Kepez. The film follows a mayoral candidate's run for office as he makes a number of unrealistic promises to the town's 5,000 inhabitants, including a visit from the prime minister. But when he actually finds a way to fulfil his pledges, he soon finds himself presiding over an independent country at war with America. Will he be able to save his new country from quickly being destroyed? The cast includes Çaglar Çorumlu, Busra Pekin and Mahir Ipek.
