- Anand (Salman Khan) is patient No. 36 at Sir Richard's mental sanitarium, Dr. Tanvi (Kareena Kapoor) has been given the responsibility to restore Anand's sanity to make him fit enough to re-enter the real world, while treating him, Dr. Tanvi discovers the real story behind Anand's tragic past and the reasons which led him to loose his sanity, Maya (Rimi Sen) was the woman who Anand dearly loved and cherished, her death in a freak accident on the eve of their wedding led to Anand's insane state, Dr. Tanvi is successful in bringing back Anand to normality but in this process falls in love with him.
