Documentary about the fierce civil unrest sparked in Los Angeles in 1992 and the events which caused it. Concerning the United States of America and its social and political landscape over the last few decades, the film documents the turmoil that gripped Los Angeles following the beating of African-American taxi driver Rodney King by four white police officers and the acquittal of the officers shortly afterwards. These events led to six days of widespread rioting and violence which claimed more than 50 lives and resulted in over one billion dollars' worth of damage done to the city of Los Angeles. This documentary uses unseen footage and archive images to give an account of these events and the disconnect between the city's African-American community and its law enforcement.
