"La Sapienza" tells the story of Alexandre, a Swiss architect who seeks artistic renewal during a voyage to Italy, with his wife Aliénor, to study the work of 17th-century architect Francesco Borromini. On their way to Rome, the couple meets two siblings: Goffredo, an architecture student in search of a mentor, and Lavinia, a girl struggling with the imminent separation from her brother. Their encounter prompts Aliénor to stay with Lavinia and help her deal with her brother's departure. And Alexandre decides to take Goffredo on his trip to Rome. His destination: one of the most extraordinary projects completed by Francesco Borromini, the Church of St. Yves at La Sapienza.
