Synopsis:
Rich, titled and beautiful, young Lady Chatterley (Sylvia Kristel) is increasingly restless and frustrated by her passionless marriage to Sir Clifford (Shane Briant). Increasingly attracted to the handsome Mellors (Nicholas Clay), her husband's gamekeeper, she is soon seeking physical and emotional satisfaction in a passionate affair, oblivious to the social scandal they are creating. Based on one of the most famous and scandalous books ever written, D.H. Lawrence's classic love story was banned for over 30 years when first published. Now, the controversial literary classic is beautifully realised as a voluptuous cinema experience from the team that brought you "Emmanuelle".

Lavish version - Lady Chatterley's Lover review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
09/03/2009

It's a classic so no costs spared in this version of the DH Lawrence novel - even a war scene is included, but it seems it's used as an excuse to show "Emmanuelle" aka Sylvia Kristel as she is best known - in softcore sexscenes - although they may seem a bit tame a generation later. Film is from 1981 - interesting to see more recent versions of the story.
