- On the outskirts of Bucharest one hot summer day, Norica (Dorina Chiriac), a young waitress, and Mitu (Costel Cascaval), a pig-farmer, meet, flirt with each other and play at who will drink and dare the most. Next morning, Mitu’s mind is a blank. What happened between them? This meeting could easily turn into something more if it weren’t for two things: Norica’s intention to marry Gili (Doru Ana), her 50 year old boss and lover, and the sudden news that Mitu has been drafted into the army for two years. Urged on by his one obsession, the desire to marry Norica, Mitu finally does the unforgivable. The wheels of society grind into motion and hunt down the couple with clockwork efficiency.
