- Synopsis:
Music plays a significant role in the films of Laurel and Hardy, especially when Ollie displays his skills as a tenor; their song 'The Trail of the Lonesome Pine' reached number two in the UK charts when released as a single. Some of their films place the team in an operatic setting; another embroils them in the marital squabbles of an opera diva and her composer husband. Stan and Ollie's own careers in music lead them to take up busking, either playing 'In The Good Old Summertime' during a blizzard or starting a squabble that escalates into a wild, trouser-ripping street battle. More havoc follows when Stan takes up the trombone just as Ollie is diagnosed with 'hornophobia'.
