Synopsis:
A collection of classic Laurel and Hardy shorts and films based around the maritime adventures of Stan and Ollie. Feature-length comedy 'Saps at Sea' (Laurel and Hardy's last film for Hal Roach) sees Stan's trombone-playing aggravate Ollie's newly aquired allergy to the sound of horns! In 'The Live Ghost' they help round up a reluctant crew for a 'Ghost Ship' and are shanghaied themselves! 'Any Old Port!' sees Stan and Ollie returning from a whaling voyage to find their assistance required by a damsel in distress. Another imperilled damsel appears as Stan's girlfriend in the early, pre-teaming 'Why Girls Love Sailors'.
In one of the best-love L&H shorts 'Towed in a Hole', they buy a boat and fill it with water to detect the leaks!
