In this collection of classic shorts Laurel and Hardy are shown both breaking the law and upholding it. A criminal is set on breaking out and taking revenge in 'Going Bye-Bye!' after being brought to justice by Stan and Ollie. 'Do Detective's Think?' sees Stan and Ollie guarding someone against a criminal and in 'Habeas Corpus', Stan and Ollie are grave robbers on the run from a detective. A runaway goat is the main concern in 'Angora Love' and in 'Bacon Grabbers' Stan and Ollie are the sherrif's men doing their best to serve a summons order. In 'Midnight Patrol' the pair sign up to become policemen but in 'Liberty' they play escaped convicts. 'Wrong Again' includes comedy capers such as Stan and Ollie managing to put a horse on a piano and concludes with one of the best-remembered scenes from the duo's extensive repertoire.
