- Lead Balloon is a British comedy series about the life of compulsive liar Rick Spleen (Jack Dee), a stand up comedian living in London and trying to make it big while struggling to succeed due to his uncontrollable habit of lying through his teeth The series follows Rick as he tries desperately to ensure that people believe his lies as he lies and cheats more to ensure that he is believed by his audience and his friends.
