Rent Lead Balloon: Series 3 (2008)

Jack Dee is back as failed stand-up and serial liar Rick Spleen, a man who can deal with any situation - badly. Rick's faltering career reaches the dizzy heights of hosting the National Tyre Fitters Awards, presenting a safety video for Scuba Diving gear, and guesting on a late-night phone-in on Rumour FM, where he fails to get a single call. Meanwhile at home, he has to put up with Magda moving in while her boiler is fixed; Ben and Sam having a hit single on YouTube and Michael's enthusiastic reports of his therapy sessions. It all culminates in a 40 minute Christmas Special, which sees Rick taking on a challenging new acting role - the part of Mr Smee in a panto.
