- Leaving Home is a compilation series of musical performances that highlight the unique and dynamic sound of orchestral music. The series chronicles a musical tour led by Sir Simon Rattles and the Birmingham Orchestra as they travel the country performing music by famed composers of the 20th century as they try to show the depth of music from the century through this countrywide tour. The series features different nights and different pieces as the Orchestra leave Birmingham behind and go on a journey of musical discovery.
