Synopsis:
Despite the season being overshadowed by the trials of Jonathan Woodgate and Lee Bowyer, and the fans voting for a move to a new ground, the 2001/2002 season was good to the club. Robbie Fowler and Seth Johnson were signed, with Fowler becoming top goalscorer and the season ended with the club fifth in the Premiership.
