Born 30th October 1960 in Buenos Aires, Diego Armando Maradona is widely recognised as one of, if not the, greatest footballers of all time. Maradona played his club career at Argentinos, Boca Juniors and Newell's Old Boys in Argentina and in Europe for Barcelona, Seville and Napoli. Hemade his full international debut at sixteen and in a career spanning over two decades he earned 91 caps and scored 34 goals. He played in four World Cup tournaments including 1986 when he captained Argentina and led them to victory over West Germany in the Final and was named the tournament's best player.
