Carp fishing has become an all year round pastime as more anglers realise that with adapted techniques and perseverance they can catch some prime examples. As long as they are willing to handle the delights of British winter weather!
In this programme we're going to work the seasons a little; starting with some basic guidance from me at my local water and then we'll head south to a successful winter patch; Pallington Lakes in Dorset. Owned by Pallatrax King Simon Pomeroy we'll see some good anglers in action to prove the point that you can catch carp in winter. As the seasons turn we'll pick up some tips and spring and summer catches with Des Taylor in the UK and then finish overseas as an introduction to crossing the channel and hitting the spendour of the French lakes. By way of detour to a climax at Rainbow Lake, we'll take a look at one of the big waters; Lac du Der and a once legendary catch that I had the privilege of filming.
