Life in the 1930s is a two part series about British life in the 1930s and the many hardships and social divides that defined the decade and that generation. The series looks at the effects of the 1929 great depression and how it severely affected the 30s and the people of Britain as strikes broke out, unemployment rose and the general consensus showed that Britain and most of Europe was in a bad place, something the documentary concentrates on as it tries to show a definitive idea of life in the 1930s.
