Rent Life of Riley: Series 1 (2009)

It's hard to be a parent these days and even harder when you're on your second marriage, but Maddy (Caroline Quentin) is determined to be a perfect mother and a brilliant stepmother. She marries Jim (Neil Dudgeon) and discovers what happens when two families collide. Suddenly she is at the head of a modern day extended family - made up of a new baby, stepchildren, step siblings and half siblings, with a few ex partners and in-laws thrown in for good measure. Maddy and Jim are constantly finding themselves outwitted by people a quarter of their age. And no matter how hard they try to do the right thing - it always seems to go wrong.
