When Colleen Gibson (Sarah Jessica Parker), heir to the Rosie Red Grapefruit fortune discovers her boyfriend Dick Rasmusson (Johnny Knoxville) is planning to leave her, she accidentally kills him. However, Dick was already in line to be killed by reluctant Irish hit man Daniel Gallgher (Harry Connick Jr.), who disillusioned with his day job, dreams of pursuing his passion for singing instead. When Colleen and Daniel meet, sparks fly and Daniel is so impressed by Colleen's talent for wiping people out, he enlists her help in his other assignments.
