Lilies, an extravagantly mannered revenge fantasy, opens in a men's prison in Northern Quebec in 1952. A certain Bishop Bilodeau (Marcel Sabourin) is lured into hearing the confession of a dying prisoner, Simon Doucet (Aubert Pallascio), only to be held captive by the gay contingent of the prison and forced to watch their re-enactment of a play. This play, however, soon turns into the story of a lethal gay triangle set in a Catholic boy's school 40 years earlier, involving an 18-year-old Bilodeau (Matthew Ferguson), Simon (Jason Cadieux) and doomed third party Vallier (Danny Gilmore). As the prison walls melt away, the richly imagined land of Roberval reveals a shimmering tale of lost love between two young men.
