Documentary looking back over the career of Liverpool Football Club from the 1970's and '80's.
Team of the 70's Presented by the Premiership show's Gary O'Reilly, Liverpool Team of the 70's contains non-stop action from what was a golden decade for the Merseyside team. Anfield became a fortress as Shankly's great team of the 60's was overhauled into the mightiest team in Europe, and the great manager topped off his reign with the FA Cup victory over Newcastle. Fabulous players like Ray Clemence, Larry Lloyd, Ray Kennedy, Phil Thompson and Phil Neal, Alan Hansen, Mark Lawrenson and Graeme Souness all starred, with Bob Paisley recognised as the greatest trophy winner of them all, but of course, two goal-scoring maestro's came to the fore - Kevin Keegan and Kenny Dalglish. It was a golden age.
Team of the 80's A decade of contrast, Liverpool won the League more times than the rest of the 92 clubs put together - champions on no less than 7 occasions. But it was also the decade of the worst tragedy to befall an English football club when 96 fans were killed after the Hillsborough tragedy.
