Living in Hope is a coming of age comedy set in the university town of Bristol. It centres on five very different characters thrown together as Fresher's in Hop Hall. Liam (Liam McMahon) is Irish, in love with his childhood sweetheart and wanting to go home. Footsie (Paul Foster) is a quiet northerner, at university to work; Harry (Robin Edwards) is a cockney who;s just anxious to fit in; Animal (Bennet Thorpe) is desperate to impress her father by performing on the sports field. And finally there's Posh (Tom Harper). Posh is at university to enjoy life to the max, party and chase girls, especially the beautiful Michaela (Jade Ball). But when Michaela falls for Liam, it's left to her best friend Ginny (Naomie Harris) to unexpectedly fall in love with Posh, who soon finds that there is more to life than one night stands. Posh invites Liam, Footsie, Harry and Animal to his aunt's cottage for a weekend break from the rigours of university, little knowing that he has set in motion a chain of events that will change all their lives forever. And of course, there's a very tall bridge to jump off...
