Documentary exploring the life and work of African-American artist Lonnie Holly. Holly, who endured a tough childhood in the American South, has used art as a means of expressing himself and both celebrating and transcending his roots. The programme follows him as he endeavours to create an artwork out of materials discarded in the sculpture garden of the Birmingham, Alabama Museum of Art.
