Based on Nancy Mitford’s much-loved novels The Pursuit of Love and Love in a Cold Climate – part thinly-veiled memoir, part biting satire, and part fascinating window on a vanished way of life – this delectable BBC drama follows the romantic adventures of three young aristocrats in the decade between the wars. Upper class girls, Fanny Logan, her cousin Linda and friend Polly are about to make their society debuts. Though Fanny takes the traditional course to find romance, her young friends are determined to break convention in their search. As Linda chases love throughout Europe, the beautiful but icy Polly contracts a marriage that shocks society and breaks her mother's heart.
