The wife of a missing explorer relives their life through the writing of her husband's biography. A Czech man traumatised by recent events in his homeland finds a ray of hope when he meets a young woman in London. A shy ornithologist, safely hidden behind his field-glasses, watches the girl opposite and almost forgets the hurt of being a little man. These and other scenarios form a series of original and contemporary dramas based on a timelessly compelling theme. 'Love Story', an anthology of plays produced in the golden age of television drama, represents the pooling of an extraordinary range of talent.
