Academy Award winner Ron Howard makes his documentary directorial debut as he explores the story behind Hip-Hop heavyweight Jay Z's journey to plan a genre-defying musical extravaganza, the Made In America Festival. Held in Philadelphia, the concert features epic performances including Run-DMC's first live show since the death of DJ Jam Master, Kanye West, Jill Scott, Scrilex, Rita Ora and many more. Attended by nearly 80,000 music revelers which grossed multi-million dollar sales, Howard showcases not only the concerts inaugural celebration but tells the story of Jay Z's own struggle for success and his journey to becoming an inspirational icon for this generation.
