Rent Madlax (2004 - 2004)

Madlax is an animated TV series set in the dystopian, war torn city of Gazth-Sonika, in which a powerful mercenary and skilled female assassin who has been fighting for the last 12 years after waking one day without any memory of her past or true identity. Meanwhile, Margaret Burton, the sole heiress to a beautiful estate in the peaceful European country of Nafrece, has also woken with no memory of her past but the word “Madiax”. Unbeknownst to each other both women begin investigating the dangerous terrorist group the Enfant who may have had a hand in the break out of war in Gazth-Sonika, as well as the disappearance of Margaret’s father and the loss of both women’s memories.
