Maestra (2023)

Maggie Contreras directs this documentary which follows the journeys of five female orchestral conductors from around the world. Greek mother Zoe Zeniodi, American wife Tamara Dworetz, Ukrainian mother Ustina Dubitsky, French teacher Mélisse Brunet and Polish prodigy Anna Sulkowska-Migon all prepare to take part in the 2022 'La Maestra' contest in Paris, the only competition in the world for female conductors. As the event unfolds the women share their personal and professional dreams and challenges.
