What happens when the mature, plain looking, five-feet-two-inch short Mithilesh Shukla from Lucknow meets the gorgeous, five-feet-eight-inch tall Veena Mishra from Bareilly? Love is a funny thing and marriage even funnier - so the two fall in love and get instantly married! Mithilesh (Rajpal Yadav) and Veena (Rituparna Sengupta) appear mismatched at first glance but are content with each other and looking forward to a lifetime of happiness together. But with the beautiful and lissome Veena by his side, Mithilesh (or Chhote Babu as he is fondly called) develops a complex about not being an Adonis! Soon he has to contend with his charmingly macho neighbor and colleague Akash Pratap Singh (Kay Kay Menon) who is everything that Chhote Babu has always aspired to be. As Mithilesh struggles to contain his insecurities, he systematically lands all of them in impossibly tragic-comic situations!
