The first ever video to feature one of the major surf rock bands of the 1990's - 'Man or Astro-Man' the band formed in Auburn, USA in 1992 - and quickly became a crucial part of the instrumental Surf Rock movement headed by the likes of Laika and the Cosmonauts and the legendary Dick Dale (who's "Miserlou" was featured in the film Pulp Fiction in 1994, giving the scene a massive shot of publicity). 'Man or Astro-Man' were highly prolific throughout the 1990's, releasing nine albums between 1993-1999, and gaining a strong and devoted fan base throughout the world. They are currently having a break from all things Astro-man, but recently came together for a one-off concert to help celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Touch and Go Records in the USA. The band's live shows were always highly entertaining and the one featured here is no exception. Filmed during a UK tour in September 1994 at Edinburgh's Castle Rock venue, the band treat Scotland's capital city to one of the craziest nights of Surf Punk Rock ever witnessed.
