Boys will be boys, and so will fully grown men if they get the chance. Stockbroker Terry (Nigel Havers) and ex-dentist James (Anthony Head) have broken free of the responsibilities of marriage and fatherhood, whilst art dealer Patrick (Don Warrington) never bought into these over-rated activities in the first place. Garden decking king Gary (Ray Burdis), however, remains involved with Cheryl (Lindsey Coulson), his wife of 24 years, and is the only member of the quartet still struggling to balance a home life with what is becoming an increasingly hedonistic one. They've paid the alimony, education fees and emotional price. Now they're ready for their second adolescence. With fast cars, flash clothes and girlfriends half their age, the streets of London can once again become their playground - but when the bus pass is only a decade away, how much fun can a man really get out of his 50's...?
