"Mareld" is an Art House Thriller where the director Ove Valeskog creates meta film together with an unknowing film crew. An experiment, where reality takes over and drama emerge both on and off camera. Ove and his film crew heads out in the Swedish archipelago to shoot a feature film. The scenes are improvised in chronological order, from the director's daily instructions. The actors are not aware of the dark faith of their characters until the final scene is shot. Along shooting the film, parts of the team is working on the a documentary behind the scenes. In the documentary we get to follow the true reactions of the actors and the team as they face unpleasant situations that appears along the shooting - This goes on until you can't tell the difference from fiction and reality. 'Mareld' is an example of how new genres can be created through mixing reality with fiction.
