Wye Valley
Matt heads to the stunning Wye Valley to fish the river and its tributaries on the fly, feeder and float and does battle with trout, barbel and chub.
Canals
Everyone associates the UK canal network as a place to catch 'tiddlers' but not Matt Hayes who sets up camp in a narrowboat and attempts to prove that big predators can inhabit these natural waterways.
RiversPerhaps the ultimate fish to catch in the UK is a salmon on the fly - it takes huge skill, great determination, and a huge slice of luck. Matt heads to Scotland's River Dee to target the king of fishes.
Chalk Streams
A rare but beautiful fish, big river roach are elusive and often the species of myth and mystery. Matt has a challenge - to catch a river giant in just 24 hours. His location is the famous Hampshire chalk stream the River Test where he'll have to fish 24 hours without a wink of sleep if he's to catch his dream target.
Lakes - Anglers Paradise
Matt is pleased to find out he's going back to one of his old haunts - Anglers Paradise in Devon. He has 24 hours to catch five different varieties of fish, but of course it's not that simple, Matt has got to do it using a fly.
Netley Hall
This challenge takes Matt to Netley Hall in Shropshire where he is joined by a partner who's travelled over from Germany. Both anglers are required to catch a twenty pound carp off the top and another off the bottom.- Actors:
