"Medit 1" is the first of it's kind. A series of nine audio visual tracks, each lasting 10 minutes, of natural phenomena all shot in real time, to assist the participant to achieve the ultimate deep relaxation experience. This is a tool for contemplative meditation. It does not contain contrived chill out visuals, in fact there are no edits: that's the whole point. Each film is a ten minute glimpse into a natural process; it might be a candle responding to subtle changes in the air pressure of a room, or palm trees reacting to the relentless push of the wind. Orbiting jelly fish, like starships, coordinating their trajectories in space. Al these 'processes' can be focused on and contemplated on, in the same way advocated by many traditional meditation techniques. Or you can simply use the video as beautiful and relaxing 'moving image' wallpaper. Geraint Hughes is a leading holistic writer and composer whose scientific approach to the principles of relaxation and therapy through music has brought him critical acclaim throughout the world. As well as composing film scores for television, Geraint has previously collaborated with renowned psychologist Dr. Aric Sigman on relaxation and therapy tapes as well as a joint project for British Airways' in-flight relaxation channel 'Well Being In The Air'. The music is intentionally 'non-melodic' as past experience has shown that while melody is superficially relaxing it ultimately becomes a distraction during meditation.
