Emmy and BAFTA award-winning filmmaker Simon King takes us on a magical journey into the secret life of a family of meerkats. So that he is able to follow their movements Simon firstly has to win the trust of these shy creatures. Once the barriers of fear are broken down we get to see the meerkats as never before, using specialist filming techniques that take us into their world from their perspective. As Simon gets to know the family, characters emerge that delight, astonish - and in the case of one young meerkat named Arnie - pull at our heartstrings. Battles with giant monitor lizards and snake attacks pepper the touching, often hilarious antics of Arnie and his family.
