Meeting Venus (1991)

The story centres on a production of Wagner's opera `Tannhauser' being staged in Paris, with an unknown conductor and an international orchestra and cast. However, jealousies and trivial arguments begin to get in the way and the production is badly affected. Glenn Close stars as the diva, with vocals provided by top soprano Kiri Te Kanawa.
