A documentary on the iron and steelmakers of Corby, Northampshire. Steel has transformed Corby from a small Midlands village into a bustling company town attracting men from all over Britain and also Poland, Hungary and Yugoslavia. The documentary uses the voices of the men who work the foundries and steelmills of Corby - mostly Scots migrants - who talk about their experiences of working in Corby, their love of Scots poet, Robbie Burns, and their hopes and aspirations for the future.
