Mercenaries from Hong Kong (1982) Lo Lik, a medicine smuggler active in Thailand and Cambodia, returns to Hong Kong to kill playboy Da Siu to avenge his niece. While in hiding from Wen'I angry godfather, underworld leader Shen Lo-Sam, Lo is forcibly brought before a rich merchant's daughter Ho Ying. She offers him protection and huge money to slip back into Cambodia to eliminate Thailand's No. 1 killer Naiman and retrieve a secret commercial tape from him, claiming that he killed her father for it. Lo gathers four old mercenary colleagues Yun Namsing, Curry, Lei Tal and Brand, along with a burglar named Hung Fan, and they set themselves up in Ho Ying's Thai villa, There Lo rescues Ho Ying from the attentions of a brutal killer and becomes infatuated with her Once in Cambodia, the group kill several attacking guerillas before reaching Naiman's hideout, where, posing as medicine smugglers, they offer to sell their supplies to Naiman's sworn brother, guerilla leader Yingdan. They carry out a daring night raid and barely escape with Naiman as hostage. Hung Fan is killed trying to snatch a getaway truck, and the remaining five hand Naiman over to Ho Ying Only now do the friends discover that they hava been tricked. In peril of their lives they return to Hong Kong and embark on a savage attempt to gat even with their scheming employer.
The Boxer's Omen (1983) To avenge his brother Chan Wing, crippled by a Thai boxer named Bu Bo, Chan Hung comes to Thailand to challenge him. Then, an unknown force takes him to a temple where he is told to stay to become a monk to learn magical powers to fight a magician for Abbot Ching Chiu, who is supposed to have been his twin in the last life, to avert a disaster for himself. He completes his practice and beats the monk's foe. After returning to Hong Kong, Chan has an affair with his girlfriend Mi Mi and loses his powers without knowing it. Though he beats Bu Bo in boxing, he begins to vomit and suffer badly when a spell is cast by a witch created by the magician's pupils over Abbot Ching Chiu. He returns to the temple to seek guidance and is told to get the "golden ashes" of a body from a temple in a mountain. While there, he is attacked by the witch. What will happen to him?
